Ok Fabbies… This is one of those moments where I am a little teary thinking about how amazing our community is.

Several of our group members DID THEIR THANG over the last 24 (ish) hours and compiled the absolute most epic collection of information about SL20B Shop & Hop gifts that you have ever seen.

We’ve got locations, descriptions and even pics of every gift that is available at SL20B.

Before I give you the link… I’d like to really wholeheartedly thank our members who worked tirelessly to get this guide out.  It started off with a general thought of “hey should we make a list?” and before I could even consider whether it was a wise idea or not, I had a host of volunteers collecting, taking photos of, trying on, describing and compiling gifts.

Hair Fair!

The Hair Fair has opened for this year, and that means a whole pile of sims filled with hairstyles.  Most designers are donating a percentage of their earnings to Wigs for Kids, so you can feel like you’re helping out a cause while you shop.  Also, you’ll find that there are several freegifts at this event.  Not every booth has one, so you have to do a bit of hunting for them, and also be aware that a few of them are 1L.  I picked up the freegift from Ade, which is a nice modern style in a massive fatpack of colours.  Completely free, and no group join required!

The Motown Experience: contained within a Welcome Hub estate

On Tuesday, June 20th, 2023, Linden Lab officially announced the launch of a new partnership experience, this one with Capitol Music Group through their Motown Records label (see: Motown Records Enters the Metaverse with Exclusive Events and Immersive Second Life Experience – corporate press release – and Motown Records Debuts New Music Experience in Second Life – official Second Life blog post).

Of course, such partnership between the Lab and external entities are not new; nor, it is not unfair to say, have they perhaps been the most successful of ventures, as might be said to be the case with Film Threat and Zenescope Entertainment Inc (see: The Zenescope Metaverse in Second Life), and it is more than likely that this announcement will cause some rolling of eyes / raising of eyebrows in an “oh no, not again” style…
